Was on 100mg of trazodone for sleep due my Dr retiring could not get a RX and my new Dr had a year wait just to see her. I have anxiety, high pulse, blood pressure, no libido, internal tremors or body zaps in chest and legs, dizzy, muscles and nerves that twitch all over, irregular heart beat. Went to the ER three times said nothing they can do see go see my PCP. It’s been 10 months still dealing with no libido, irregular heart beats, buzzing body like tremors, nerves twitching, metallic taste in mouth. It has gotten better over 10 months seems like every 2 months I get 5% better yet it still lingers on. Anyone else have similar things happen stopping trazodone. Seeing a cardiologist about the up irregular heart beats.

I was on 100mgs for a year then cut very slowly by 25mg. I remember having a pepper taste in my mouth and burning sensation for years! The doctor pharmacist and dentist didn't know why! Hope this helps a bit! Still not sure if it was the trazozone!

Thanks for the reply, yes I have a strange metallic almost like taste in my mouth since quitting cold turkey. Talked to a pharmacist that said the tremors, shock like sensations, heart palpitations all can come from antidepressant withdrawal. It’s a Shame most Doctors say it doesn’t exists and the pharmacist agreed very few Drs are aware of this because Big Pharma didn’t disclose everything they should have. I went to a cardiologist who put me on Something that stopped my heart palpitations. I was having them 30 plus times an hour it slowed down 10 months later to around 30 times a day but scary to feel as your heart may stop. Was rushed to the ER 3 times first few weeks quitting pulse was 170/180 and blood pressure through the roof the ER Drs thought I was on a illicit drug because they didn’t believe Trazodone had withdrawal. They did a drug panel on me every time to look dumb because I don’t use narcotics like I told them.
Now dealing with kidney stones and still dealing with these horrible withdrawals. Wish my Dr would have told me that Trazodone could do this I was told non addictive and such and now this.

Happy your feeling better! Yes u guess its hard to get all information on all meds! I no longer have burning in my mouth plus have stopped trazodone years ago si it could have been that I guess!
