I been taking 100mg 2xday Topamax for about 8 mths now. My psychiologist doesn't give me but 5 min tops with him and I refuse to see him again. After doing research on my own, I found it Topamax interacts with almost half of my medications, that's why I am stopping it. Plus I can't deal with the side effects anymore, the only plus side is it has helped me lose some wgt. My question is: how long before it is out of my system?
How long does Topamax stay in your system after you stop taking it?

From reading about Topamax, it is mainly prescribed for seizures. I have never had a seizure but do I need to worry about possibly taken one since I have been on it for that period of time and stopping it so suddenly?

I took Topamax for some time. At the time I stopped I asked my Dr. the same question, and it takes around 4 to 6 days to be out of your system, as it has a half life of approx. 19 to 21 hrs.
