Hi, Yux! It takes 6-8 weeks to feel the full effects although many people may feel some improvement within 2-3 weeks. And yes it will be subtle improvement ~ no bells and whistles going off one day. Many people don't even notice it until they suddenly realize how much better they are. Your doctor may have used a small trial dose to be sure you tolerate the drug with no bad side effects and may raise your dosage if you have none. The usual dose is 2-3mg so your doctor is being appropriately cautious. Best wishes, WCV
