Iam due to have spine surgery and was wondering how long naproxen at a dose of 2000mg a day would stay in your system (in hours) as I have been told to stop it prior surgery.
How long in hour does naproxen stay in your system?

Hi, Michael!
About 3-4 days. It has a half life of about 12-17 hours. This means 12-17 hours after your last dose 50% of the drug will be out of your system, after another 12-17 hours only 25% remains, etc.
.So it would take 3-4 days to completely eliminate it. I don't know if the tinier fractions would affect you but you might want to ask your doctor to be sure.
Best regards and good luck with your surgery!
