Hi there, I started using saxenda and it was working great. I started to shed pounds right away and it was helping me with craving and anxiety.
But a month into the treatment I started to get welts on the injection area super itchy
Has anyone had the same reaction?
I haven't been able to see my doctor yet (not available for appointments) and I stopped taking it but I am eating like before and gained all the pounds I lost and I feel super depressed and anxious. I don't want to stop. I just don't know how serious it is the reaction.
Liraglutide - Skin welts after a month using?

Marushsea; This is the very low or lowest part of side effects, If I understand you right the itching and welt is only at the injection site and not all over the body or mouth and tongue etc. here is the copy and the past from drugs.com ((Less common:
Bleeding, blistering, burning, coldness, discoloration of the skin, feeling of pressure, hives, infection, inflammation, itching, lumps, numbness, pain, rash, redness, scarring, soreness, stinging, swelling, tenderness, tingling, ulceration, or warmth at the injection site IF THIS IS WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT IF YOU CAN HANDLE IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY SAY CONTINUE BUT LET THE DOCTOR KNOW AT YOUR NEXT APPT. BUT IF THEY ARE ALL OVER YOU THEN STOP. GOOD LUCK CHUCK1957
Hi Chuck1957,
Thank you so much for answering .
it's started to happen at the injection site like literally where I put the needle in. Even when I tried .6 to see if it would make it go away...
They go away after 3 days
They itch a lot
And I don't have them in all my body, I do the injection on my leg... 24 hours later there's a bump exactly where I did it... itches lots ...
I do the next shot in my tummy... 24 hours later the welt is in my tummy and the one on my leg is slowly going away
The doctor over the phone told me she would ask an allergist... the sad part is ... I feel an uncontrollable hunger and anxiety without it
And as the weight came back, so did my hip pains, my back pain... my uncomfortable heavy feeling, my insecurities and all the anxiety about my body
Yes, Marushsea that sounds pretty much what they were saying. right at the injection site and it was not a worry if you can bear with it. or ask the doctor what you can put on the bump to help with the itching and it may also go down faster. And it makes sense you gain the weight and your body is going to hurt again Well I hope this helps you out.
