Has anyone had Lexapro cause depression or more? I am currently tapering off because I think it wasn’t helping me as much as it could or should. Curious if anyone found it created depression when not depressed before?

For myself, I've been on 10mg for about a year now and have noticed significant changes in it giving me the energy to get out of bed on days I may feel depressed. However I have also been wondering on the depression itself thing, as lately I've found myself really feeling hopeless, stressed out/anxiety ridden, and sad like I want to cry (and I am not one to cry) wondering if it's the Lexapro but I've been taking it for a year now. So I'm not sure how that would work if you've been on it for so long already. What have your side effects been from tapering off of it?
I tried Lexapro and I stopped taking it because I felt it made me feel worse.
