You should report your side effects to your doctor. Side effects generally resolve within the first couple of weeks... insomnia is common but you need to get some sleep. Bleeding is not normal and that's why your doctor should be alerted.
As for feeling better most people see some improvements in the first week or two which is an indication that the medication is working. Because you started at such a low dose it may take a bit longer. Depending on what your medication was prescribed for you should feel depression lifting and/or a lessening of anxiety symptoms but it can take 6-8 weeks for the drug to become fully effective.
