Hello, Deanna,
I am so sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, but I am waiting for an answer from one of my Medical Doctor Friends to get back to me on your question. I thought I would have heard back from him by now, but he is very busy. He works in his office until 6PM, and then he makes his Hospital rounds after. As soon as I hear from him, I will post another answer. He did want me to ask you a question. Do you wear a padded bra? He also wanted to know if you slept on your stomach? His nurse conveyed these questions to me, and I don't understand why he wants to know these things. But get back to me with your answers, and hopefully he will have called me by then.

Thank you so much for asking around for me means a lot... yes my bra is some what padded but not much and wouldn't explain why one side of my chest hurts and not the other... I use to always sleep on my stomach but haven't for awhile because of the chest pains and I can't sleep on my back because I lose my breath
OK, so I talked to my Medical Doctor friend, and this was his advise:
1.) Do a self Breast exam. Feel the cold breast and check for lumps.
2.) Warm up one hand, and then check both your breasts to see if one of your breasts is really colder than the other.
3.) Do you wear an under wire bra? If so, then one of the under wires may be cutting off the blood circulation on your cold breast.
4.) Is there any discoloration on the cold breast?
5.) For how many days have you noticed this? It may be a hormonal problem.
6.) If your breast is still cold after 4 more days, call your doctor, and explain the problem to him before just going in. He may have an easy answer for you. Most likely, you will not be able to talk directly to the doctor when you call, so ask for his nurse, and explain the problem to her. She will relay the question/problem to the doctor, and then call you back. He may tell you it is nothing to worry about, or he may want you to come in. But don't call until you have done the other things I have mentioned.
To sum up, do the breast exams, check to see if one under wire is causing a problem with blood circulation (If you wear an under wire) and if the breast is still cold after 4 or 5 days, call the doctor. It may be nothing. But you, in my opinion, should call the doctor next week to be sure.
Now, in your original post, you didn't mention that you had pain in that breast, so I didn't mention pain to my doctor friend. That might change thins a little. Your doctor may schedule a mammogram, which is not a bad idea, anyway. He may also want you to have a thermo-graph, which is a painless test that will show the warm and cold areas of your breast, and give the doc a better idea about what you are dealing with.
Remember, I am not a medical doctor, I am only reporting what the doctor I spoke with recommends.
Good Luck, and get back to me after you have done your in home tests. You may want to call the doctor earlier, like today, or tomorrow, but I don't know what his Holiday hours are.
