This is kind of a dumb question, but I just started birth control (Ortho-Tri-Cylen Lo) two weeks ago and am still looking for answers. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend at 2 am, and took a nap later the same day. I woke up 20-30 minutes after I usually take my pill, and almost immediately took my pill. I haven't had sex since last night/way early this morning. Is there any chance that I could get pregnant from the sex if I've been taking my pill at the same time pretty much every day for the past two weeks?
If I took my pill late, can I get pregnant?

Also, I haven't had my period yet, I've been feeling slightly nauseous, and had mild cramps. I'm pretty sure that these are just cause of the pill, but I'm just looking for answers.
Added 31 March 2013:Also had some slight spotting, and I'm guessing another side effect of the pill.

Taking it late by 20-30 minutes is not a problem. Your fine!
Until your body gets used to the hormones it will do weird things. As long as you take your pills every day at roughly the same time you're protected. You've got an hour either way with the time and you're still ok. You should get your period when you are on the inert pills. it is possible that once in a whileyou will skip a period. This isn't unusual. No matter what your body does in the bleeding department keep taking your pills. The only time you should think of pregnancy is if you miss 2 periods in a row. If you are ever put on an antibiotic use a condom while you are on it and the week after. Some antibiotics decrease the effectiveness of the pill.
