A family member has a severe allergy to all milk and as such can't have lactose. Is there a brand if Xanax without lactose - we couldn't fill his prescription as he would have an anaphylactic attack. Can anyone help? Pharmacist is quite unhelpful.

If your Dr cannot help with this (which is unfortunate in itself) you may have some luck contacting the manufacturer (the original, not a generic) and see if they have any suggestions.
The manufacturers I looked at all use lactose in them. Here is the link to the generic pills. If you click on details you get the ingredients.
Thank you for your quick response - but I don't see the link
You will find the link in the tool bar toward the top of the page; if you click on the "Drugs A-Z" you will find there is a menu that has a link to generics about half way down the list.
