I've taken over 40 infusions since 8/2021 for stage 4 non-small-cell lung cancer. My oncologist respects my staying on for 'peace of mind' but she suggested stopping as of about 4 months ago. There seems to be very little formal research on extended use of this immunotherapy and anecdotal commentary seems the only way to get more information on extended use experience. I've been experiencing Sjogren's syndrome, eczema, psoriasis and somewhat diminished kidney function but none of these at intense levels. I am 75 years old. I'd like to stay on the Keytruda and need to hear the experiences of others in order to form my own opinion.

I was told that once Keytruda was in your system it would stay for a long time. I had to quit Keytruda due to the rash it gave me. I haven't had an infusion in 8 months and the rash is still there. I was told that that meant Keytruda was still active. Hope this helps a little.
