Is there any way that you developed a fungal infection as a result of the antibiotic use. This could have happened, and that may be why it doesn't seem to be clearing up. If that is the case, the Elocon may treat some of the symptoms, but might not quite clear it up either. Have you tried any anti fungal medication, like miconazole. If not, you might try it, before a round or Elocon, or after the round of Elocon.
Elocon has mementasone which is a steroid.
U may be knowing that steroids work not by killing the offending bacteria like antibiotics but by inhibiting thr inflammation. These reduce the natural immune response to that bacteria.
These are helpful as they decrease inflammation thus deareasing redness, pain edema and tissue destruction.
But in some cases steroids may be hazardous which by inhibiting the inflammation which is a natural immune response help bacteremia.
Thus u must always consult a doctor regarding type of infection and offending agent.
Good luck.
Very good help!
Thank You
