I take cymbalta for GAD (generelized anxiety disorder) It has helped a lot for my anxiety but I have a terrible time focusing on anything for an extended period of time.
I have lost my sense of taste since taking cymbalta. Is this common ?

I too, have lost my taste. It is a side effect for sure.
Given the current pandemic COVID19, loss of sense of smell and taste are symptoms. Go get tested so you can rule that out and talk to your doctor about the side effects.
I have been taking cymbalta for about 3 years... first small dosage ... then increased... was having taste and smell problems while on the lower dosage and then when it was increased... my taste and smell was totally gone... but do have periods when I can smell things and also can taste them...
Hello their!! ") I have been on Cymbalta now for 2 years. I'm not to sure how common it is for other people that are taking Cymbalta,but I have noticed a big change with my sense of taste and also smell!! I can't say for sure that its from taking Cymbalta,but I believe that it does effect your sense of taste!! Well, I hope this helped at least a little bit") GOOD LUCK with everything") Take Care!!
Yeah I also had a change in taste for the first few weeks on Cymbalta.
I still have my sense of taste but find I have no appetite.
I don’t think that is common.
