I know this is super old but I've skipped a dose before and been ok. However, I'm having a relapse now and would be very careful about skipping.
I think its safe to repeat this Unless it's close to the next time for your next dose of medication. this way you maintain your blood levels Sweetlemon is correct!
I've done both strategies (either taken the missed dose ASAP or skipped it), Von-1, with all the meds I have taken.
You know some of my background, but I started on Celexa, then my GP moved me to Lexapro when it came out because it was supposedly "better," and, when the Lexapro pooped out, I moved to Cymbalta. Which has now pooped out, and I'm trying Celexa again, since it worked for me in the beginning. This happened over the span of 10 years.
The touchiest med I was on was Cymbalta. Since it has a half-life of 12 hours, I could really feel it if I skipped two doses by accident (didn't happen often, but a few times). Lexapro has a half-life of 27-32 hours, so even if you skip one dose, you should not really notice much of a problem. At least, I never did.
Hi Vonnie,
I must agree with Sharon on this one. But if it is too close to your next dose, just skip it.

I have forgotten mine and if it wasnt to long past time i went ahead and took it but if it was to late i just waited and took it the next day,if your having symptoms go ahead and take it just wait a little longer to take it the next dose.
