if the person is a diabetic and has type 2 and has a headache is it safe to give them one Advil ?
Absolutely not. one Advil® (which is 200 mg of ibuprofen) should not be a problem for a T2-DM or T1-DM (aka juvenile diabetes) unless there is underlying kidney disease which could be acerbated by the NSAID ibuprofen possibly leading to acute kidney failure. But the dose you are asking about is SO low that I wouldn't expect any compromise of the kidneys or other organs if only taken in the short term.
