A 2.5-mL bottle lasts a little more than a month (approximately 40 days)
A 5.0-mL bottle lasts approximately 80 days
A 7.5-mL bottle lasts approximately 120 days
Talk with your doctor if you are running out early and ask him/her to prescribe more.
When I actually test the number of drops in a 2.5 ML bottle, it only has 50 drops. Therefore 2.5 ML is only a 25 day supply (if you put one drop in each eye, once per day). My test result is in line with many other web listings of how many drops in a 2.5 ML bottle.
I have never gotten the prescribed number of drops out of bottle and there is no way to verify before hand that the right number are in the bottle..I can count pills. Getting the Dr to prescribe more at $80 a bottle, yeah, there's an answer...
With a PhD in chemistry and 33 years as a University Professor, I can tell the above commenters that the amount of drops specified by the manufacture is not correct. Lumigan is a very dilute aqueous (water) solution. It is a known, proven fact that there are 20 drops of water per 1 ml. Thus, there would be 50 drops of 25 drops/days when applying it to two eyes. Thus, the values for the 5 ml and 7.5 ml are also incorrect.
I just emptied a 2.5 ml bottle of Lumigan. I started using 2 drops/day on November 8th and got the last drop on December 20th, with only one drop on the last day. That's 85 drops.
