I am asking for my mother, age-91. She has been taking Orencia for about 4-years and claims it is no longer working well. She wants to discontinue medication. Please advise.
Have any long time users stopped taking Orencia ?

I was on it for a yr. Last winter, I appeared to have a virus causing digestive problems. A virus was going around my school affecting both children and adults. 4 months later, I still had symptoms with the pattern being worse after a weekly orencia shot. I discontinued one week before my rheumatology visit & was able to report symptoms ended. I was taken off this drug & 10 wks later started rituxan.

Let her doctor know that she would like to stop taking Orencia, before actually stopping. I couldn't find any reviews where the user had a similar experience.
