Is gaviscon ok for people with mild hypertension?

Are you being treated with any medicines for your hypertension? You are best to ask your pharmacist. I suspect it may be best avoided. Gaviscon tablets have a high sodium content and should therefore be avoided by people following salt-restricted diets and by those who have heart failure or impaired liver or kidney function.
Antacids like Gaviscon can affect the absorption of medicines so need to be taken at a different time.
