Will Gas-X (extra strength) relieve heartburn?

I can only answer for myself, but it NEVER has for me. It's just great at relieving extra gas and bloating. For over the counter meds. the best thing I have found is extra-strength TUMS. I have GERD and burn quite a bit... so I do know the feeling. Mine is usually higher more so in my throat area. Doctor's don't really know why. I use Aciphex for my GERD, but if I have extra trouble or eat something I know I shouldn't have, I usually grab my tums!! :o) Can't hurt to try them. Good Luck!
