It is a half inch long and a quarter inch thick with a raised edge going around it.
I found a white , capsule shaped pill without any imprint. Shouldn't all drugs have a marking?

Yes, all pills OTC and RX must have a marking, this is required by the FDA, if they do not have an imprint they could be anything.
I am sorry but I can not give you an answer as your pill has no imprint, it could be a supplement, herbal, foreign, diet pill or Illicit.
