Escitalopram - I am on week 4 on escilatopram, was feeling good week 2 and now week 4 I have brain fog , some headaches and a bit of dizziness. Is this normal and how long can I expect side effects? I am on 10mg. How long should I give it before thinking its not gonna work for me. Only change I made was I went from taking it at night to the morning as it was keeping me awake.

Hi, Nicole!
It does sound like it's about the right time for a roller coaster ride. The side effects shouldn't last more than days to a week or so.
The fact that you had some good times shows that the medication is starting to work although your metabolism is still adjusting to the drug. There's a light at the end of this tunnel... for most people it takes about 4-6 weeks for the medication to become fully effective. If you were having anxiety problems it may take a little longer because anxiety responds more slowly than depression does.
It might be wise to check in with your doctor just to let them know how things are progressing.
Best regards and I hope you're feeling good again very soon.
