How do you overcome the constant dizziness on this drug? Even 9 months into taking it, I still can't stand the dizziness. Other than that , this medicine is only a tool. The work is on you to do.

Hi, Mincho!
Have you discussed this with your doctor? Side effects like dizziness as a rule generally resolve within days to several weeks so if you're still experiencing dizziness after 9 months you need professional advice. Perhaps a dosage adjustment or a switch to another medication?
You also would want to rule out the possibility of some other underlying problem.
Best regards and hopefully you'll be feeling better soon.
Thanks for the quick response. I was on Zoloft for panic attacks and anxiety that came out of the blue. Zoloft made me sick to my stomach, so I switched to cipralex and in the begging I had some of the commonly described side effects. Dizziness was one thing that started with both medications. I stopped the cipralex after 9 months and the Dizziness disappeared imminently. Long story short, I came back to Cipralex after 2 months of stopping it and that Dizziness is back. I am on 10 mg , but my Doctor thinks I should jump to 20. I know that a lot of this is a trail and error.
How strange to have this long term side effect with both medications. It is a matter of trial and error... if this is really affecting you adversely I wonder if it might be worth asking your doctor about trying one of the atypical antidepressants like bupropion (Wellbutrin), mirtazapine (Remeron). vilazodone (Viibryd), vortioxetine (Trintellix)?
But first you should follow your doctor's advice and try the dosage increase to see if that helps.
I guess time will tell with my second return to cipralex. 5 days on it so far and one panic attack yesterday. Very unpleasant, but I dealt with it. No dizziness today, just general blah feeling. I am 10 mg for 14 days and 20 after that. By the way thanks for reaching out, I appreciate it
You're welcome! I hope you do well.
