Once medications expire they can begin breaking down which can make them less effective. Some drugs can actually change chemical composition and become toxic but most just lose effectiveness.

Your best bet is to call the pharmacy where it was filled. Our labels now have expiration dates. Since yours doesn't it will only take a moment of their time. Just be sure it wasn't stored - ever - in ahot or cold place. That can wreck something within a few hours.
