When can I eat after taking doxycycline?

old lady67; normally you just take this medication once a day so take it as soon as you get up so in two hours you can eat and the rest of the day should make no difference until the next day and do it again the same way. if the directions are different you should follow them if it's more then once daily but that is very rare. The other way to take it is to eat the first you get up wait 2 hours then you can eat they are just trying to make sure you take it on an empty stomach. hope that is clear enough. have a good evening chuck1957
