Can I drink coffee when I take levothyroxine, or do I wait the hour as I do food ?

The preference is that the drug is taken on an empty stomach, one-half to one hour before breakfast. If you plan on eating foods such as soybean flour (e.g., infant formula), cotton seed meal, walnuts, dietary fiber, calcium, and calcium fortified juices you should wait at least 2 or more hours. Also, keep in mind that absorption of the drug may also decrease with age, especially after age 50.

I do not think you should have a problem, the report states that there is no interaction, but just to be on the safe side I would wait an hour.
