Can donepezil 5 / 10mg tablets be crushed?

Do you know they make an orally disintegrating tablet? The coated tablets are not to be split crushed or chewed. You can try putting the tablet in apple sauce on a spoon. Sometimes that works.
i'm aware of the odt but why do some inserts say do not crush chew some don't what about g- tube ? these are film coated tabs what happens if you do crush ? not timed released , not enteric coated doesn't make sense
