Does this drug give teens some sort of high ?? Found some in my sons room and he does not take thes?

i need to know
i can get high off this stuff, i drink the syrup stuff 2 bottles and it causes severe sedation and low to mild euphoria feelings with the odd hallucination every now an then
Old thread, but I found this and feel like I should add my 2 cents.
I am 25 and was recently prescribed this drug. I was searching to see if anyone else is getting wired off of it before I complain to my doctor.
From my personal experience, Yes a desperate teen could use this drug to get a sort of high.

yes, when I drink two bottles of the syrup it produces severe sedation effects and low to mild euphoric feeling with the odd hallucinations.

Generic Name: montelukast
Pill imprint SINGULAIR MRK 117 has been identified as Singulair 10 mg.
Singulair is used in the treatment of asthma; asthma, maintenance; copd; hay fever; bronchospasm prophylaxis and belongs to the drug class leukotriene modifiers. There is no proven risk in humans during pregnancy.
Singulair 10 mg is not subject to the Controlled Substances Act.

My opinion is no, kids are not using this medication to get high.
