I didn't see a difference
You can get Revatio (also made by Pfizer just like Viagra) which is prescribed and marketed as a hypertension drug. It is available as generic Sildenafil -- same exact drug as Viagra. It is available in only 20 mg dosage, so if you typically take 50 mg of Viagra, you would take 2 1/2 pills. Tell your doctor to write the prescription as "Generic Revatio" or "Sildenafil Citrate" 20 mg, QTY 90 pills. Target has the best price (around $37 for 90). If you don't have a Target, check around and check prices as they can vary enormously.
The generic is not yet available legally in the US.
See my comment, above.
The big difference in the usa is marketing the generic is illegal. It will be until 2020. Viagra is the brand that is why it cost so much. That and the fact that they know men will pay anything for an erection.
Generic Viagra (Sildenafil) is now available in the US (I live in Massachusetts)... under the name Sildenafil. If you go to RX.com, you can find coupons for all major pharmacies. I was able to get 90 tabs (20 mg)... at Target Pharmacy (CVS) for around $60... using the coupon. It was actually $100 cheaper than getting it at Walmart. The pharmacist at Target was amazed, as before applying the coupon, it scanned in at $1700.
