Is there a difference between venlafaxine HCL ER and Venlafaxine ER?
I was taking venlafaxine HCL ER but because of Medicare Part D I was prescribed venlafaxine ER. Just wondering if I will notice a difference. any advice will be helpful. Thank you.

msjohn; Yes my friend Wildcat is right as always there is no difference at all between the two. the main thing is the SR WHICH IS TIMED RELEASE AND OF COURSE, THE DRUG NAME AND IT SHOULD BE IN THE SAME FORM SUCH AS TABLET OR CAPSULE. chuck1957
Hi, msjohn! all formulations of venlafaxine contain venlafaxine hydrochloride (HCL). You shouldn't notice any difference.
