I recently switched from one pharmacy to another and got a new refill of my existing prescription. My old prescription was sertraline I G 212 (https://www.drugs.com/imprints/i-g-212-15362.html ) and my new one is L U 201 (https://www.drugs.com/imprints/l-u-d01-12767.html ). Is there a substantial difference between the two? The 212 was working great and the 201 is awful. I wanna know why if someone could help out. Thank you!

I had the same problem. I didn't realize the cause at first. The chemist told me it was quite common and changed them immediately and amended my record, no charge, no trouble, just tell them.
Although they all contain the same active drug the inert ingredients in generics may differ from one manufacturer to another. This can cause certain generics to not work well or cause side effects in some people.
You could ask your pharmacist to special order the Cipla brand for you. Most pharmacies will do this for you but it might cost a bit more Otherwise, you'll have to go to the brand name or try other generics.
Regards and good luck with this!
Thank you!
