Answers
Are you being treated for depression, anxiety, or both? There are dozens of options in the SSRI class, the SSNRI's, tricyclics, and MAOI's. In addition to the SSRI Lexapro there are others like Celexa, Paxil, Prozac, and Zoloft for example. There's also Effexor, Elavil, and Parnate to name a few more.
You have all kinds of options to discuss with your doctor to find a treatment that's right for you.
What's the problem with Lexapro? Is it not effective or are you having trouble with side effects?
Every person responds differently to these medications and finding the right one or combination can be a matter of trial and error. But don't give up... working with your doctor and therapist you'll find the right solution for you.
