So what I take for anxiety is Valium, 10 mg, twice a day as needed. I understand what you mean, I think depakote might make it worse, but then again I am not a medical professional. I just have had 19 years of experience in dealing with the stupid anxiety that followed my epilepsy. So, I personally am looking for an anxiety medication separate from Valium, but Valium does a good job at relief. The best I've had was Xanax, which is so hard to get due to abusers/ junkies. Meditation I'd recommend as a backup; message me.

There is a medication called buspirone (BuSpar) that is specific for anxiety. It's not a benzodiazepine or an antidepressant/anxiolytic. I've been taking it for years for severe anxiety disorders and it's worked wonders for me. Just a thought you might discuss with your doctor.

Fresh; You should wait until morning and call your doctor, Your right as far as mental health it is generally used more for Bipolar and I'm afraid you may end up with more anxiety by taking this. Really sounds like you and your doctor need to get back on the same page. best of luck to you.
