im on depakote too and i take 10 mg of melatonin a night it will help and u can get it at the health food section in the vitamin area, its all natural and it really works!
oh and it has and 8.5 rating out of ten on this site to help with sleep and i dont feel groggy the next day. i take it about an hour before bed, and then make sure my room is dark and quiet, also melatonin has no known drug interactions with other meds. u can buy it in pill form or sublingual (which tends to work faster but harder to find, try health food stores) but walmart and target carry it in 3mg and 5mg tablets. as i said before i take 2 of the 5 mg, but experiment and see what works for you. i had horrible insomnia, now i sleep like a baby! good luck
What you really need is a sleep study. The study is a wonderful thing. I get one, once a year. They found I had apena and RLS. That was my problem. Maybe this is something you need to look into.
