I am currently on 40 mgs of Cymbalta per day 2.00am and 2.00pm. I am feeling OK just so exhausted. Will going up in dosage make me feel better or worse?

Dear jep74, I have been on the generic Cymbalta (duloxetine) for 25 months now and love it for general anxiety. The doc had me on 60mg (two hours before bed) for a while but I had some side effects, such as dry mouth and tiredness, so I requested a decrease to 40mg about 5 weeks ago. Side effects decreased a bit. I feel pretty good.
You didn’t say why you are taking Cymbalta but in my opinion I think the side effects would increase with a dosage increase. And I also think that you should take the whole 40mg or 60mg dose a few hours before bedtime.
Best of luck.
