I cut my Losartan in half and never had problems. They tell you not to because you lose some drug to crumbles and dust but if your BP is too low, tell your dr!!
I am prescribed the Micardis HCT 80/25 tablets and often take 1/2 of a pill, depending on my blood pressure reading. I do take my blood pressure at least once a day and often more. I use a Dremel tool with a small rotating saw to score the pills so the pills are easily broken apart and evenly with my fingers. I have been doing this for years with no apparent repercussions.
Jayrojrt,
I would not cut your blood pressure medicine in half I would contact your Dr bc that blood pressure medicine my be to strong for you & dr may have to adjust the milligrams or change your medicine.
