Will be starting on Copaxone soon. May have to start with the daily shots at first unless my neurologist appeals denial from insurance co. for the 3xs wk & they approve it. Either way, what is best time of day/night to give yourself shot? Thinking possibly before bed time but wonder if sites are painful it would interfere with sleep. Any other tips greatly appreciated. Does anyone use the Itracker app? Thanks d

Hi
I have been taking Copaxone daily injections since I was first diagnosed (7 years). I live in the UK and don't have to pay for meds so God bless the NHS. I used to take the injection at bed time but sometimes it can sting a little (I find an ice pack can help) and if you inject into a site that you have recently already used then you will seriously know about it. Ouch! I find that the best time is first thing in the morning. My MS nurses told me that the injection can help to ease fatigue so morning is probably the perfect time to take it. I knew nothing of the Copaxone iTracker app but I am now thinking about getting it. Sounds great, so thanks for the heads up. Hope this helps L
Thanks for responding. I've now been taking the daily shots for over 2 weeks. Taking at night as that's the only time I can be sure to be able to be consistent with taking it. I don't do mornings as usually have problems sleeping. So in morning I'm just so tired. A few of the injections have been very painful after the medicine is injected. So I do use ice packs. Tried heat pack before but don't really think it helps. As for helping with fatigue I hadn't heard of that but will definitely check into it. Love the Copaxone I tracker app. It is free on Google play. There's no way is be able to keep up with it as the book would just be too much work :) thank you d
