I've been on citalopram 10mg for six days and I am having the worst nights sleep ever... EVER. Practically none. So is it okay to take Tylenol PM Extra Strength to help me sleep at night?

Hi Msweet: My pharmacist told me that the ingredients in Tylenol PM are exactly the same as the ingredients in tylenol combined with benadryl. The benadryl part is diphenhydramine, and is what causes sleepiness. Benadryl cost pennies compared to the cost of Tylenol PM.
Yes, although it could cause interactions such as dizziness, drowsiness, and confusion. But you'd be sleeping anyway. so that shouldn't matter.
