I already had severe anxiety prior to being diagnosed with COPD. Now, with the COPD medications I’m taking, albuterol, prednisone, for example, my anxiety is far worse than I ever could imagine.
I was already taking Mirtazapine, Lamictal, Klonopin and gabapentin and still am. Now my NP has tried me on CaPlyta and Rexulti which I couldn’t tolerate. Knowing one has to be careful what anxiety/depression meds you take with COPD in order to not lower respiration levels, my pulmonologist and NP haven’t come up with anything to help other than Buspar which doesn’t help me at all. I’m wondering if anyone has a similar issue and has found a medication that helps? I’m in a very bad place with my anxiety and any suggestions are most welcome.
