I just had 3 wisdom teeth pulled and one was infected. The surgeon put me on this drug. And said I could take my 800mg Ibu as directed. But the instructions say do not take with narcotics. Also the pharmacist said not to take in any dairy during the 5day course!
Can you eat dairy products with this drug? And can you take ibuprpfen with this drug?

I ate one of those cracker and cheese stick snack packs on antibiotics at work before and projectile vomited. Can't take any pills on an empty stomach either/reflux.
I assume the drug you are talking about is clindamycin?
You can safely take Clindamycin and Ibuprofen together. Be sure to take both medicines with a glass of water and the ibuprofen is best taken with food. Ibuprofen is not a narcotic. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
I think your pharmacist may have got confused, it is perfectly safe to take dairy products while taking Clindamycin.

I would not recommend anyone to drink or consume anything dairy while on clindamycin. I am currently taking it and it has a terrible reaction to the meds.
What is the terrible reaction you are having to dairy? How does it manifest itself? I have an extremely bitter taste in my mouth... very, very grateful for a response!
