Can I cut my 5mg. tablet in half?

I never take large doses of any drug, so small amts. seem to work for me. I would like to lessen the sleepiness I get from this drug. Thanks

I was on the Xyzal site so I thought my question was understood to be Xyzal. This is the pill I've been prescribed. Thank you.

I always cut my tablets in half and told my clients to do so unless the pharmacy leaflet states that it must be taken in whole and cannot be crushed.
