I have bullous pemphigoid on my legs. It is partially controlled by elastic stockings. Is it safe to use this topical steroid (combined with gentamicin) if I also have chronic kidney disease?
Is betamethasone effective for auto-immune skin disease?

Hello, David.
I'm not medically qualified and can only comment on my personal experiences when I had this disease which was between 2017 and 2020.
Initially I had a rash which was treated with betamethasone but didn't prevent the blisters arriving. my whole body, arms and legs were covered with blisters and the medication was changed to the steroid Prednisolone which I took for over 18 months. As blisters numbers dropped I started reusing the betamethasone on rash areas and this worked. For the last 18 months I have been disease free.
I wish you a speedy recovery and remember the disease eventually goes away.
I hope your illness is responding to treatment
