I am 50 years old, 115 pounds & female. I have a history of head injuries. I also take 150mg of trazodone & 2.5mg of valium once or twice daily. I have complex ptsd. I just re-started Auvelity at 1 tablet/day - rather than 2, which may have caused tremor, confusion, nausea & dizziness- but it's hard to know since I started taking it immediately after a concussion. I am interested in finding out if others have increased sound sensitivity.
I started retaking it (in spite of these possible side effects) because I have MDD, which has been resistant to all other medications. But.. if the side effects come back, I'm going to have to drop this med.

I am not sure about sound sensitivity as I have always had sensitive ears, but this medication (in my experience) causes extreme tinnitus in my left ear. It’s quite severe. I’ve lived with it for nearly a year now. It’s a bit dreadful but a small price to pay? I’m unsure. I’m on the verge of trying yet another medication. Best wishes.

Hi, MsMichelle! I couldn't find any reference to this as a side effect in any literature or by using a search engine but the drug is new on the market and it's possible that not all side effects have been reported yet. Most side effects do resolve within days to a week or so but you'll want to report this to your doctor for advice and also to the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088. I thought you might be interested in reading some User Reviews for Auvelity: https://www.drugs.com/comments/bupropion-dextromethorphan/auvelity-for-major-depressive-disorder.html
