In my experience... NO. I break out in hives within a day of starting a sulfa drug. With augmentin, I broke out in hives immediately too. I've never had this allergic response to any meds other than sulfa drugs and augmentin. I am 73!

Yes, they are not related to sulfonamides.
Thank you! I am severly allergic to sulfanonmides, one of the 2% who get what's called Stephen Johnson's Syndrome... horrible, painful experience!
Are CLINDAMYCIN and Cephelexin in the same drug class?
