I felt good at night (calm), but it never carried thru to the next day until the next nightly dose. A pdoc said to split the dose between morning and night. I was taking 30 mg nightly, but was told to stop by my GP. Started lexapro, got very sick. Pdoc got involved and said go back to remeron, just do it twice a day. My main concern is being sleepy in the day, and not being able to function. So anyone with experience of taking remeron in the morning? and can you still function during the day? thanks
Does anyone take remeron in the morning? My problem was/is no anxiety relief during the day.?

hi i used to take mirtazipine remeron at night and felt that by the afternoon or middle of the day it started to wear off , then i switched to morning dosage i take 7.5 mg half of 15 mg in the morning and it works fine all the way up until midnight and i sleep well , i would say your body has to adjust to any type of dosage and once adjusted should be ok , it didnt work for me at nightime dosages as the next day felt like crap, I am no doctor but this is my experience
i started taking mirtazipine /remeron in the mornings and it works well for me , through out the day sometimes i feel a bit tired but not too much by the nightime it wears off and i sleep fine
I absolutely hated Lexapro, gave me recurring panic attacks. Mirtazapine is great but you can't take it in the morning because you will sleep.
I am on Remeron (30mg) and the only reason I take it at night is because I have so many other meds to take in a m and at lunch. On the times I miss a night dose due to being up all night sick, taking it in a m makes no difference to me. Most meds say "may cause drowsiness", but If I don't take my sleeping pill and Do take Remeron, even with Xanax, I probably wont sleep.
Remeron is mostly prescribed for Manic Depression Disorder, but can be used for other things. We all react differently, but, for me, it doesn't make a difference when I take it. Best of luck to you...
Your body will get used to the medicine in time. I've taken Xanax now for 12 years and it took about 2 months of small doses to adjust
