I just started Contrave and am not sure if it's causing CP and anxiety. I really want this to work for me but I feel just like I did on Phentermine. YUCK!
Will these side effects wear off? How does the Contrave work to make you lose weight??
Does anyone else feel anxious and chest pains when taking Contrave?

16josiebear This medication is a combinition drug which both drugs have been under or in other meds for a while so not alot to worry there for weigh this is what i copied and pasted on how it works pretty simple suposed to give you more feeling of energy and change in diet... very importaint one of the meds in here you have to decrease fat intake mainly because it makes the drug more potent here is the copy and paste of that part... very small... What is Contrave?
Contrave is a prescription medicine which contains 2 medicines (naltrexone and bupropion) that may help some obese or overweight adults, who also have weight related medical problems, lose weight and keep the weight off.

Contrave should be used with a reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity.
• PRETTY MUCH WHAT I TYPED... NOW ABOUT THE SIDE EFFECTS THAT YOU WERE ASKING IT CAN CAUSE SOME ANXIETY WHICH does go away in most case OKAY HERE IS ANOTHER IMPORTAINT AND IT SAYS CHECK WITH THE DOCTOR IF YOU ARE HAVING ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur while taking bupropion / naltrexone:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; painful sores in the mouth or around the eyes; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, throat, or tongue; swollen lymph glands; unusual hoarseness); chest pain; confusion; josie both tighness in chest and chest pain are both listed in this section that says check with the doctor if you are having them so i would continue taking these until you can reach your doctor MONDAY or next week.. so don't increase your dose if it was me until you talk to the doctor ... that should give you pretty much your answers until you see or talk with your doctor... I hope i was of some help this was pretty complicated due to the fact of both these meds have there own side effects and by the way if the doc tells you to stay on it Normal is about 3 months prior to seeing or feeling much better and the minor side effects to go away... again wish i could of been more help but you really need to see your doctor or at least give em/A call ASAP chuck1957
jean ps you should not be taking any drugs with buprion a stop smoking drug or antidepressaint and also anything with a opium in it like a cough syrup or pain medication they can increase levels of these meds So please call your doctor... at your first chance... have a good day and good luck chuck1957
