There's nothing wrong with taking a quarter, its just like taking a half mg. If your used to taking the whole thing its not going to do much for ya but better than nothing. I've had to do the same thing when I was running low and had a week til doctor and 2 bars. I still felt like I was withdrawing but it was better to take a little everyday than a bar for 2 days and cold turkey it for 5. Although if you don't take Xanax a quarter of a bar is probably all you need.
How long had you been taking xanax before you started withdrawing. I acknowledge this post was 5 years ago.
You can, however, if you've been taking whole ones that may be too much of a drop for you, may cause some withdrawal.
That's a big "if," and also depends on how sensitive you are to this and what else you're taking. So my answer is yes with extenuating circumstances. Hope this helps a bit.
Thanks so much. Your information was helpful. I've never taken an actual bar before I normally only take .5mg round pill. So do I néed to take a half a bar to equal .5?
Yes, If (there's that if word again) the whole bar is 10mg. Is it?
No I think it is a 2mg bar. I was previously taking 0.5 mg.
You have to be sure. Check the bottle or check with your Dr. to be sure.
