I'm using Penomax, I'm allergic to Penicillin. Will the allergy make the antibiotic less effective, or not?

Penomax (pivmecillinam) is a broad spectrum penicillin antibiotic. If you're allergic to penicillin you shouldn't be taking pivmecillinam at all.
