Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "The Oxytrol does help for the urinary frequency but I am disappointed in the quality of the patch. The patch doesn't stay on for the full 4 days and it is NOT waterproof it says it is but its not I've tried taking a shower with it on and it came off. So, I'm done using them I tried 1 box of the patches and I'm not wasting anymore money on a low quality patch that doesn't even stay on like its supposed to. Very very disappointed wasted money."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "I used 4 patches in 4 days because each morning when I got in the shower the patch came off. That was a cost of $4 a day since I had paid $16 for the box. I called Merck (manufactures product) and was told they would send me a coupon or another box of patches. That was 4 weeks ago and nothing yet. But I have decided not to use the product or recommend it to anyone."

For Urinary Incontinence "My dr ordered this oxybutynin for me while I wait to see a urologist. It was fine at first, I only took one 5mg tablet, I was to work up to 3 tablets daily. I got up to 2 tablets and was miserable! I'm already hot all the time and this makes you not sweat, my throat hurt like it was being ripped out, I was constantly thirsty....the cons weren't worth the pros. I did have to use the restroom a lot less which was definitely nice but it didn't effect the leakage which is what I need addressed. Not worth it in my opinion."

For Urinary Frequency "Oxybutynin has helped a lot with stopping me needing use bathroom as much. But I have severe dry mouth and throat, my voice has become raspy even. Has that happened to anyone else taking this - having a raspy voice. Not sure if it's due to the very dry mouth and throat. I've been taking this medication for almost a year now."

For Urinary Frequency "I have the worst bladder ever. I have been taking oxybutynin for years. At first I thought there was no hope. It takes up to 3 months to determine how well this medication will work. Trust me it takes far more than a few days to see how this medicine will work. But it will make a huge difference. I'm 36 yrs old. I still have problems with my bladder. But my life is tolerable now."

For Hyperhidrosis "Been suffering from hyperhidrosis since many years but it has been coming on worse during the more recent years. Started to socially distance myself and was always thinking about what to wear and how to lay out the day to avoid sweating. After taking Oxybutynin for one day I noticed a change. While exercising I start to sweat but kind of in a normal way. In everyday life no more sweating. It has changed my life! Thanks for all the help from all of you that's on here. Felt like I got my life back!! I'm super happy!"

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "I would love to give this medicine a 10. It works great for my overactive bladder, unfortunately the irritation and itching is unbearable and I have to end up changing the patch every couple of days. I am running out of places on my body because the irritation and itching lasts a lot longer than the patch. The medicine works great but can't get past the irritation from the patch."

For Hyperhidrosis "I had hyperhydrosis for years and I couldn't even drive because my hands would sweat so much I couldn't grip the wheel. My hyperhydrosis was generalized all over. I was put on rubinol forte for this... The sweats stopped within HOURS of the first dose. I now take 3mg in the morning and 3 mg at night. This drug is an antichollergenic which is why it works. If oxybutin isn't making you 100% dry, try rubinol instead. I was to the point where I was so uncomfortable in my own skin after two years of looking like I'd just had a shower all the time, I considered suicide. I tried hyoscyamine before rubinol. Which did NOTHING. Please look up rubinol on this same site drugs.com. It is prescribed for ibs, but it's side effect will stop your sweats in their tracks"

For Urinary Frequency "I've been on the oxybutynin for 6 days now for and overactive bladder. A year and a half ago (11/17) I broke my pelvis in 2 places and my sacrum. In the beginning I was unable to void on my own and they prescribed me with flomax which helped but it made me so dizzy, I stopped taking it. Fast forward to 2019 and my bladder spasms & urgency were increasing and making it really uncomfortable. So after a UDS my doctor decided to try me on oxybutynin. While it seems to help the spasms it seems to make it harder to be able to start voiding. Like it relaxes it almost to much, when I try harder to void it just leads to a spasm. That and the dry mouth, dry throat, dry eyes and sinuses are really uncomfortable. Feeling like I need to constantly clear my throat is for the birds. I'm certainly going to take myself off of it. These side effects just aren't worth it."

For Hyperhidrosis "I am an 18 year old girl with extreme insecurities due to my hyperhidrosis on my hands, underarms and feet. I have tried everything from creams to iontophoresis, may last resort was surgery. Until my dermatologist put me on this, I haven't sweat for two weeks and my life has completely changed. I can now shake peoples hands, write in books and not have the pages turn yellow and I can actually put gloves ON!!!! My life has changed forever, and I will never ever be happier."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "I had a sling a few years ago for stress incontinence (that I have had since I was a kid), but it didn't do anything for the overactive bladder, obviously. I tried the patch and within 24 hours, there was a huge difference. However, the patch does not stick well. The adhesive on the edges of the patch is not good. While it does not come off, it does crinkle and wrinkle and one was clearly not adhering much at all and I doubt much medicine was delivered, which was why it did not work that day. The medicine is great, but they need to improve the actual patch."

For Hyperhidrosis "You guys! I have to share my experience because this is life- changing (so far!) I have had issues sweating in my palms and feet ever since I was like 10. Now at 30 it has become almost debilitating with my career, I used to think I’d have to live with this forever so I got used to it and concealed it. I have NEVER told anyone. Is that crazy. Until recently I had to see my doctor because it seems during the summer it’s so much worse. She prescribed me oxybutynin and after like 4 days I am seeing a difference! A little clammy but I am only taking one 5 mg tablet a day. I assume when I start 2 a day it will completely decrease. The only side effects so far are dry mouth, I get sleepy earlier now, and a little bloody nose. It’s not cheap with my insurance but I would pay more to get rid of this mortifying disorder!!! You guys must get this from your doctor if you are suffering. Don’t continue to be embarrassed by this! Hope this helps."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Incontinence "These definintely work. Day one I saw relief with the gotta go right now feeling, frequency and leakage. The downside is the patches rarely last four days, usually 36 hours to 48 hours, which makes them very expensive. They are itchy and cause redness where the patch is placed. The edges collect lint from your clothes which make the patch look dirty. They constantly get caught on your clothing and pull your skin. As they dry up, they begin to sound "crinkly" which could be embarrassing. The drying up can occur as soon as 24 hours. They are also not clear and discreet. The background is clear but there are 10 logos printed across each patch. Very sexy."

For Urinary Incontinence "I used this for a year and got off of it due to the nasal issues PLUS the neurologist says to STAY OFF of it. He said oxybutinin contributes to dementia and increases the symptoms of dementia .I've also tried the expensive MYBETRIQ..doesn't work either. Next step back to the urologist."

For Urinary Incontinence "I am a 57 year old female who would HIGHLY recommend this medication. I am taking the pill twice daily and I found it worked on the second day. I don't make 50 trips to the bathroom daily, no more concerns about when I sneeze or cough. It has changed my life drastically! I would recommend this to anyone who has incontinence problems."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "I get bad reaction to the adhesive. The redness stays for weeks and itches so bad. I clean the area with acetone to remove the adhesive residue and then clean it with alcohol. Hope you guys will create one for sensitive adhesive like sensitive bandage. The product helps with overactive bladder I just hope the itch and redness will go away. Been using this patch for a month."

For Hyperhidrosis "Absolute game changer! In social situations, including my own wedding, sweat would be dripping off my face and the back of my head would be wet with sweat. Now dry, confident, and so much less anxious. Slight dry mouth but, compared to the difference, it's nothing. Wish I had tried this a decade ago!"

For Hyperhidrosis "I was beginning to really lose hope in ever finding something that would stop my excessive sweating all over my body and then saw someone mention oxybutynin on a forum. I started on ProBanthine but I didn’t react well at all and had a couple of instances where I felt close to fainting. I then asked to change to oxybutynin and was prescribed 5mg tablets to be taken 4 times a day. The tablets have completely changed my life. The tablets can make you feel funny the first few weeks but the side effects soon wore off. I still sweat slightly more than most during exercise but it is much less than before. The main benefit is in day to day life where doing normal things I no longer sweat. I would really recommend these for anyone struggling with excessive sweating. You may not see the results instantaneously but stick with them and hopefully they work for you."

Ditropan (oxybutynin) for Dysuria "This drug ruined my life. I was on a five day course of 15 mg. An hour later after taking this medication, I experienced an unusual taste in the mouth (metallic/bitter), foods tasted distorted, (phantageusia) and now my tongue burns. I stopped taking the medication right after these side effects and here I am now with lingering side effects since April 2018. These doctors never go into the side effects in depth but only the common side effects. After telling my doctor about thus side effect, he acted like I was crazy. Never thought something like this could happen"

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "After spending two years in absolute agony 24/7 with spasms of the bladder: pain, needing to urinate up to 12 times day and night and aches in my loin, I finally was given the Oxytrol patch, after no help from six prior pill-form medications. I want to thank whoever is responsible for the making, marketing and licensing of this product that changed my life back to livable after twenty-four months of literal hell. Thank you again."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Incontinence "Have been on Oxytrol for several years now and found it to work very well for me. Now I find that none of the retailers, in my area of Texas, are carrying it any more. Anyone know why? To the question of whether or not did my insurance cover this drug, it is an OTC, no insurance required."

For Hyperhidrosis "This medication is great. I have been struggling with hyperhydrosis for as long as I can remember. Now that I’ve reached a point of maturity in my life I now realize how much it was affecting my relationships, my social life, my style of dress and career options. I have hyperhydrosis on my palms, feet, and under arms. Oxybutynin helps me stay dry even when I’m driving!! My mouth is constantly dry but I’ll take that over sweating. I still sweat a little on my palms and feet when it’s hot but it’s not sweating profusely and it goes away shortly after."
