For Urinary Frequency "I'm taking Oxybutynin (5mg tab) once a day at bedtime. So far loving this medication. I have some trouble with sleeping so this medication helps me fall asleep. I'm taking the lowest dose so I really don't have the dry mouth problem. The best part is now I'm going 5 hours or more at night before peeing. I'm getting a much better night sleep. Insurance rates this as a tier 1 medication, so my cost is only 10 bucks a month. So at not having to get up every 2 hours to pee is outweighing any side effects."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Incontinence "Whilst my problem is not major I did have issues with the patch staying on and the sticky black residue when I took it off. The patch would only stay on for about 24 hours. I haven't had any side effects. I found a solution for the patches coming off etc. - use an alcohol wipe to clean the skin, leave the skin to dry then put the patch on, then cover it with a patch of Elastoplast Elastowrap (or similar) bigger that the actual patch (about the size of the Oxytrol packaging) - I cut mine from the roll and make sure you cut the corners to make a curve. I when my patch is due to come off I take my patch off whilst in the shower with the water spraying on the area as this reduces the redness left by the patch. I found this out by trial and error, and hope this helps you."

For Hyperhidrosis "I began taking oxybitinin/Teva around June 2017 after suffering severe hyperhidrosis for nine years from methadone use. Prior to beginning oxybutynin, I was so embarrased about my hyperhidrosis that I found myself working outdoor solitary jobs (if working at all), shopping at odd hours, avoiding restaurants, malls, farmers markets, parties, etc. My life was incredibly restricted. Ten milligrams a day of Oxybutynin has, quite literally, given me my life back. The only penalty I pay is slight dry mouth on occasion. Do not be afraid to suggest this med to your doctor. Most are unaware of its use for this issue."

For Hyperhidrosis "I have had hyperhydrosis on my head for several years. It got so bad that I was embarrassed to sing in the choir because of the sweat dripping. My hair is short but the whole back of it would need to be sopped up with a Kleenex or several of them. At church I would cringe when I had to sop my hair during service. Oxybutynin cured the sweating and gave me my self esteem back. It is a miracle."

For Urinary Frequency "I'm a big guy so the PA started me out on 10mg once a day. worked like a charm within a couple days. My urge to urinate went completely away. Life was great for about two weeks until I started having moderate/severe nausea/upset stomach around the clock. I considered the dosage being a little to high so kicked it back to 5mg the stomach upset-ness went down but not away. Sometimes I'll wake up in the morning with extreme dry mouth and a splitting headache. I'm probably gonna request a new med."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "I tried the Oxytrol patch and liked the effect on helping my overactive bladder, but it irritated my skin and caused such itching I couldn't continue it. I tried placing the patch in a variety of places to no avail. I see on this site that it seems to be a common occurrence. "

For Hyperhidrosis "I have suffered with severe hyperhidrosis (palmar, plantar, and axillary) since birth and was diagnosed at a very young age when I broke out with a heat rash all over my hands and feet. Thankfully, I have outgrew the rashes but unfortunately not the sweat. I have tried Drysol, Iontophoresis, Botox injections, Glycopyrrolate, and Oxybutynin (as well as extended release versions of the last two medications). I feel safe to say that two 5mg tabs of Oxybutynin at nighttime has worked best for me. I have been taking Oxybutynin since 2005--nearly 10 years now and it still is holding up pretty well. Side effects that I experience: dehydration, dizziness and weakness."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "What a difference the Oxytrol patch has made in my life. I was having to go to the bathroom 10 to 12 times in an afternoon. Since using the patches, I only go about 4 times. I have had no side effects."

For Hyperhidrosis "I have been on oxybutynin for about a week now for hyperhydrosis. This medication has been the miracle I have been looking for. All of my sweating has stopped! The only side effect I am experiencing is a dry mouth which is a small price to pay for in exchange for stopping the sweating. This medication has changed my life! I would give a 10 pout of 10. Ask your doctor about it and good luck to everyone"

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "ABSOLUTELY THRILLED. I'M AMAZED. I just turned 52-YO but have suffered from incontinence for the last few years and seem to go through 2 to 3 "super-plus" Poise or Tena each day, plus one at night. I saw an ad on TV yesterday for Oxytrol and bought a 4-pack ($16.99) on my lunch hour and put one on about 1:15pm. And while certainly NOT recommended for someone with my condition, my co-workers and I go out on Mondays for a few cocktails and I always make sure I have extra 'pads' in my purse. We're talking LESS THAN 5-HOURS and a few Miller Lites, I stayed totally dry and only leaked when I was just about to sit down on the toilet. THAT IS A MIRACLE."

For Urinary Frequency "I've been on Oxybutynin for about 3 months. The first thing I noticed I was gaining weight for no reason. I seemed to be swollen and just generally miserable. Gradually I started having back pain. Now It's been 3 months and my back pain is so bad it's debilitating. I've never experienced any kind of back pain like this before with an infection or taking a medication. I'm getting off this Oxybutynin ASAP and hoping these horrible side effects will go away quickly."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Incontinence "I have overactive bladder & Incontinence really bad for being in my late 30's. I never thought a single patch for 24 hours could even function for my disfunctional bladder. I put it on for the first time after I showered before bed, waking up I didn't feel as full and didn't have to rush to the bathroom. During the day no leakage at all when I walk and no urge. I feel normal again. All I know whoever invented this is genius cause it is so nice to not wear pads, but please just reduce the price a bit."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "I am 19 years old and started using this patch. I had surgery to stretch my bladder a year ago (apparently my bladder quit growing at a young age). Before, I had to go to the bathroom every hour and a half and the surgery was only a temporary fix from this. This patch worked wonders! Not only do I go less, but I can also hold it in for a lot longer!"

For Hyperhidrosis "I have been on this medication for about 2 weeks and it is a real life changer !! I have to say though that I first got Oxybutynin XL and that didn’t help at all, so when I went back to my doctor she said that I probably needed the normal Oxybutynin. The one with XL is for extended release and the normal one is for short release and that helps most with the sweating. I can not even begin to tell you how much this changed my life!!! Yes, I have a dry mouth and sometimes a little blurry vision but I will take that any day over the sweating. Hope you guys try it out, I give it a 10!!!!"

For Urinary Frequency "I have been on this for 1 week and yes, it is working. I don't have the overwhelming urges and can sleep right through - great! BUT, I am hating the side effects! Constant dry mouth (Ok, I take water and chew gum) but I feel like my stomach is constantly full, have almost constant heartburn and sometimes when eating, I feel like I am having a mild panic attack and can barely breathe. This is frustrating to say the least and I am fed up feeling so fat with this drug! Not sure whether to carry on or end taking this. Anyone else feel these symptoms - especially the difficult to swallow/breathe/panic bit? Many thanks"

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "All my life I've had to deal with have an overactive bladder it made me to the point where I was 18 and still wetting the bad at night as well as leaking throughout the day. When I first tried this I saw a huge difference, I haven't had any of those problems except for when I keep it on longer than I should. At first my skin was a little irritated by the patch but now it's nothing and easy to take off. I spent 1 day without it on and it really showed me how important it is for me to have it, I felt dirty through out the day and had to pee all the time like always. I am so thankful for this patch it really has helped live with having an over active bladder."

For Hyperhidrosis "I have had really bad facial sweating for years, absolutely destroyed my confidence, going out for family meals etc was a embarrassing nightmare, would sit there with sweat trickling down my face, fanning myself, feeling so uncomfortable, made my life a misery for years, asked my doctor for oxybutin and after 4 days of taking 5mg a day the difference was amazing, I had tried everything before, sweatblock, driclor etc none of them worked, I am finally able to wear make up after years of not daring to because it would just slide of my face, so so glad I got on these,"

For Hyperhidrosis "The Diagnose Me episode "Woman who Couldn't Stop Sweating"- that's me in the documentary. Took 10 years from 2000-2010 for diagnosis of generalized hyperhidrosis. From active, social, outgoing, world traveler diplomat's wife to housebound, depressed sweat mess. Finally in 2010 a reaction to a drug ( won't name) for "depression" saw me bedridden 24/7 sweaty and suicidal. Never depressed before sweating began! My husband found on internet Dutch study on hyperhidrosis and oxybutynin in 2010. One doctor (thankfully) agreed to try it. I stopped sweating completely in 4 days - never sweated a day since. 5mg twice a day still works perfectly for me. I'm overjoyed my story has helped many others. I hear from some personally. Shockingly, many doctors today are still unfamiliar with the condition or oxybutynin to treat it. I have to explain why I'm taking oxybutynin."

For Hyperhidrosis "I have suffered excessive sweating most of my life. It started when i was around 6 yrs old my hands and feet were constantly wet I recall my mother calling me a frog lol. A few years ago it became out of control I had sweat dripping fown my back, my hair my head, my groin literally my whole body was constantly wet. Omg when I went on oxybutynin 5mg it stopped, ive been on it for 3 weeks and am beginning to slightly sweat again which means i will go onto 10mg. The side effects i get is a very dry mouth and drowsiness, however I cut back my dosage and slowly increased it I found this to limit the side affects. This medication has changed my life I feel normal and can wear my normal clothes and now feel the cold and so excited to wear a coat."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) for Urinary Frequency "Been wearing the patches for a week now. I can tell a difference. The urge to use the bathroom greatly decreased. So glad they are OTC! The only problem i have is when I remove the patch it leaves adhesive on the skin, its hard to get off. And waterproof would be better. Maybe they will update them sooner or later. But def recommended"

For Hyperhidrosis "Have suffered excessive sweating most of my adult life, but this worsened due to Fibromyalgia. I was at my wits end, my hair and face were by far the worse, in fact didn’t want to leave the house because I always looked like I had just had bucket of water thrown over me, I was permanently fanning myself, and having to change clothes several times a day, then I read about Oxybutinin, and went to see my doctor, started 2.5 twice a day but didn’t work, so increased it to 5mg twice a day and it was like magic, haven’t taken my fan out of my handbag since stating to take them, and no more taking lots of tissues to wipe sweat off my face and hair, in fact after shopping now I’m completely dry, So glad I discovered these tablets."

For Hyperhidrosis "I have suffered from Hyperhidrosis since childhood. I always wished to live a normal life just like other people though I saw other people suffered differently and I kept myself silent and cried in silence. It took me more time to prepare myself travelling on trains and buses so people won't smell my sweat (mold smell) from my feet. I could wipe my hands constantly but feet was hard to manage. Today I feel so happy and positive taking oxybutynin. I have no thoughts about sweat. I used to wonder how would a medication control my brain? The minute I thought about sweat, it would appear! but I am sweat free because of this medication and I am thankful of researchers, doctors, scientist, pharmaceutical companies and of course above all God."
