Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I began taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo when I was 13, I am now 22. I was not sexually active at the time, but my periods were extremely irregular. This specific oral contraceptive helped to regulate my period and it has been perfect for the past 9 years. When reading these reviews, ladies must keep in mind that everyone is different. Genetics plays a huge role in whether you get/ have bad acne, cramping, low sex drive, etc. It may not be because of the pill, necessarily. In my 9 year experience with this particular product, I have never had a scare when I took the pill as directed. You will have a few of those symptoms, its just life.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I am 17 and I've been on this pill for about 10 days now and LOVE IT. Weighing on the smaller side with very miniscule breasts, this pill has helped me gain extra weight and has already helped my breasts grow. I was only a tad nauseous on the first day but I found my mood was overall happier and I have a great amount of energy. I am very happy with the results of this pill and how well it has worked for me. I was worried at first but once I had some food and got through the night, I realized that oral birth control is really a gift. If you were like me and worried sick over this pill then just look at all of the benefits that tiny pill can offer you and the security you gain. Thumbs up all the way.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I have taken this pill for 8 years. I am 23, 5'1 110lbs. Have never experienced weight gain, and never had a pregnancy scare. I have always had clear skin and it stayed that way throughout the pill. I missed a couple pills last month and had spotting for a couple weeks. But I swear by this pill! Although, once in a while it did cause slight nausea and usually always low sex drive, as most others have agreed. Other than that I think it's a great form of medication.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I've been taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo since February with a 3 month break in the summer. I actually experienced very low appetite, when I'm at the end of my sugar pills I'm starving put the rest of the month I never feel hungry so I think the pill has helped me lose weight. As for Acne no real difference, I'm still struggling with acne but over the last year being on or off the pill hasn't made a difference. I haven't ever been nauseous or sick at all, but I do take it at 7pm. The biggest side-effect I've noticed is low, low sex drive. Absolutely no interest in it at all. And very low energy. I plan on going off the pill to see if it's causing this side effect.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I've been on this for about 6 months and the first few months were great. I felt no difference after switching from a different pill. The last few months on the other hand have been terrible! I've been so moody (cry at the drop of a hat, always mad and irritated) and I've been having terrible cravings. I have also experienced in between periods spotting and general discomfort in my body.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I took Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo for a year and gained 15 lbs on my 5'1 normally 105 frame. I am 19 and run 50-70 miles a week for track and cross country. I knew there was something wrong, as before I would lose up to 10 lbs during the season. I told my doctor I thought the weight gain was due to the pills, but she insisted it wasn't. As soon as I got off of OTCL, (became single and didn't need it) I lost those 15 lbs in 3 weeks and shocked my doctor. The pill definitely can, and was, the reason for weight gain. At least I never became pregnant. I have switched to Apri since and I hope I don't go through the same again, anyone have any stories about their experiences with Apri?
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I've been on this medication for approximately 5 years, if not longer. My skin rarely broke out, I never got pregnant or even a pregancy scare, & didn't notice any weight gain either. However, I frequently spotted between periods. It wasn't specific to pre-mensturation or post-menstruation (which can indicate what horomone you could be lacking or needing a change in). The spotting put a huge damper on my sex drive/life (not enjoyable at all). I also noticed that occassionally if I didn't take the pill right at my usual time everyday I would get irritated a little easier, cry easier, be grumpy & even be sick to my stomach. I also got cramps before my period & salty/sweet cravings. Overall it was easy & worked.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I started this pill almost two years ago when I was sixteen and took faithfully. I had a boyfriend from15 to 18 and I never got pregnant so that just shows how good it works..but on the hormonal side I took it every night at 9:00 and didn't have to deal with nausea or anything like people say they get.It kinda helped my acne and my periods were super light the first day my cramps would hurt but after I was good and it only last like 3 days. Also, it can make your digestive system whack so drink water. But, recently I have broke out a ton and been hormonal so I decided it's time to switch! Wish me luck! (:
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I have been on the pill for 3 months now. It helped my acne fairly good, regulated my period. As far as weight gain, I have been experiencing a lot of "cravings" more than ever before! Loss of energy, tiredness, mood swings are also side effects that I have experienced. I used to enjoy the gym but now I don't feel as motivated. My sex drive is blaaaa. I do recommend drinking a lot of water when taking the pill.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I have been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for about 3 years now. I haven't had any side effects but my acne got pretty bad and my sex drive is totally down. I wish there was something I could do to change this. Other than those issues I have been trusting this pill.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I have taken this pill for four months now and don't really have anything negative to say. I hit my "two-year limit" with the Depo shot I was on, so my healthcare provider suggested this pill. I haven't been nauseous, no headaches, no appetite changes, no bloating, etc. The only negatives I can definitely complain about is the acne and sex drive. My acne is well contained while on the pill, but during the week "break" it flares up worse than I've ever experienced. Also, I've noticed an extreme loss of sex drive along with a loss of energy. I usually cringe at the thought of having sex and losing sleep; and the only thing that has changed about my routine is this pill.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: This pill did not go well with me. I took it for a week & felt bloated, got acne, headaches everyday, nausea! I would take the pill at 7pm so my stomach wouldn't be empty but I would wake up around 3am to wanting to vomit. I started it on a day 1 start & my period was so long and heavy, it didn't stop until I stopped taking the pill that week. But I tried taking it again since I've read that symptoms will usually go away after a few months. The 2nd time around I felt bloated & got a headache again the first day. The first night I woke up at 2am to throw up with a cold sweat I felt I would pass out. I'm going to look into something else. I can't function with this nausea & moodiness.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I just started on my pills, I'm 37 yrs old. I experienced a headache for 1 day, and noticed that my taste buds are weird to certain junk foods. Other than that its great. As long as you drink a lot of water I believe everything will be fine. Everyone is different. My stomach did hurt in the beginning. I also noticed that when I try to swallow the pill it tends to sit in my throat for a while. Very hard to swallow.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: The pill helps regulate my period and I know when to always expect it. I do not get any mood swings or nausea. I started going on the pill because my period was irregular. I would get my period twice in one month with excruciating pain. Once I began the pill the pain stopped and my period is normal.
Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: My doctor almost treated me with antidepressant because I had signs and symptoms of depression, however, this only happens for few days prior to my monthly menses so she decided that we should try this pill, so far so good! No more feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, crying spells, moody, irritable, fatigue, tiredness, anxiety, acheness, cramping, headaches and the worse of all symptoms lack of desire to enjoy life! This is a miracle pill, made my stomach upset the first day and drowsiness. Little light headed.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I started Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo on May 19th but I got my period on May 3 and since I started the pill I missed my June period and I've been experiencing heartburn, nausea, weakness/fatigue sometimes bloating. Makes me feel pregnant, my breast didn't change much. The fact that it throws your hormones off my sex drive is finally low.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Ovarian Cysts: I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome in 2011 and my doctor put me on Ocella. After about two years on it, I became so irritated and unhappy with everything I switched (Ocella is horrible). I called my doctor and explained that Ocella was making my hormones go crazy, so she switched me to Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. I've been taking it for probably 6 months now and everything is great! My periods are really light, they've went from three days to two days, which worries me a little bit but my Doctor said this can happen after being on the pill for so long. I haven't gained any weight, my slight acne has cleared, & my breasts have jumped about one cup size! I also barely notice myself getting irritated anymore. So far, so good! This pill has been great for me.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I'm 5'6 and 114 lbs. Very good pill to take if you're tiny and new to hormones. I recommend starting it the night of your new cycle to help your body get used to the hormones. Take it at night with a snack to fend off the nausea. STAY HYDRATED. You're going to confuse thirst with hunger on this pill. Drinking more water will combat bloating, weight gain, and fatigue. It takes longer to recover after workouts. My mood has improved drastically, as well as sex drive and wetness. My acne got worse, but I'll give it a few more months to straighten out. Love it so far.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I was prescribed this birth control about a year ago and I LOVED IT up until about two months ago. I suffer from terrible mood swings and irregular periods. I had absolutely no mood swings until about two months ago. I had regular periods, ALWAYS on time. Weight was hard to lose though. ALWAYS hungry. But all in all worked perfect. My body must have just gotten used to it.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I've only been on this for two weeks but I've got to say, I haven't been disappointed at all. My acne has gotten better and my personality hasn't changed at all thankfully, and my period was lighter and shorter. I did experience some nausea and headaches but they went away after a few days. I can't comment on how well it prevents pregnancies yet though! After reading horror stories about this pill I'm glad that it works for me and my body. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: This is the only birth control pill I've ever been on that has really worked for me. No side effects at all (besides mild nausea and headache for the first few days). My mood was so even. The big problem is that my insurance will not pay for it, so I am taking Tri-Sprintec, which has a slightly higher dose of estrogen.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: After I noticed my Levora birth control was no longer helping my face stay clear of PMS-related acne, among other symptoms, I asked my doctor to switch me to a new birth control. She gave me Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. I just started my second month on February 21st during the week of my period. My period came as a surprise because I had absolutely NO PMS symptoms. No breaking out, no migraines and no cramps. I have not experienced any side effects with this birth control, either. My doctor made an excellent choice for me. I hope my second month will be just as successful.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I struggled with symptoms of PMDD for a while and finally my doctor put me on Aviane to regulate my hormone levels and thus, mood. Aviane made my breasts larger but increased my acne and oily skin like crazy and made me more depressed and emotional! I normally have clear skin, so the acne was horrible for me. I asked to switch to Ortho-Tri Cyclen Lo. Since I've taken OTC-Lo (for 6 months), I've noticed my skin cleared up (although I still have minor acne compared to when I was off the pill), and it helped with my mood swings tremendously. Although a bit more pricey ($15 copay), I am very happy with the improvement in mood that OTC-Lo has given me, which is a much better gain compared to the minor acne I am still experiencing.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: Right now I am currently on my second pack. My nurse recommend this. I'm a beginner, I'm still nervous about this though. A little bit of history, I had TERRIBLE irregular period, and I'm sexually active. After the first pack, my period came and gone exact when it should be (which is the last 7 days). My mild acne seem to be SLOWLY cleaning up. Plus side is it helps my partner and I saving money from buy boxes of condoms. I saw quite a few reviews about breast growing, that hasn't happened to me but I'm hoping maybe later on. Side effects are just cramps and I noticed that I get drunk a lot easier and faster than normally would. I would give it a 10 but I'm only on my 2nd pack so not so sure yet. However ladies, EVERYONE is DIFFERENT. But it doesn't hurt to try out.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Ovarian Cysts: I was on this pill for 5 years with absolutely no problems. My periods were on time, short and light. Also my ovarian cysts dissappeared. Then my doctor decided to change me to a different pill because she was worried about high blood pressure. On the new pill I've had constant spotting for the last 5 months and now I've had my period for the last 4 weeks. Ugh! Since my blood pressure monitoring came back normal, I finally convinced her to switch my pills again. Oh I wish she'd switch me back to Orhto Tri cyclen Lo, but she picked a new one instead. We'll see how that goes...
